Wild Bird Photograph -Yellow-bellied Elaenia-

The yellow-bellied elaenia (Elaenia flavogaster) often are relatively conspicuous, perching in the open and vocalizing frequently. Generally Yellow-bellied Elaenias are brownish olive above with two white wing bars, a pale gray breast, and pale yellow belly.

 

Adults are 16.5 cm (6.5 in) long and weigh 24 g (0.85 oz). Found from southeastern Mexico south to northeastern Argentina. These flycatchers inhabit a variety of woodland habitats as well as scrub and savanna, and feed on fruits and insects.
